Due to introducing a new computer system, waiving of late fees will be possible only regarding current period. Make sure you submit your request to waive late fees no later than 30 days after the Medical University of Lublin receives funds.

30th of June 2011 is the last day that a student can complete a 2010-2011 ISIR!

 

All the students interested in applying for US student loans are required to register in the Virtual Financial Aid Office.

What is the Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO)?The Medical University of LUBLIN Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) is the single point of contact system for processing all of the US Department of Education student aid and the completion of financial aid award packages. This new program is designed to help guide each individual student through the complete Financial Aid process, while offering a number of unique advantages to the user:* You can apply for aid and view your progress online 24-7 from any computer* All the steps for application are on the website, with detailed instructions* The site is thoroughly secured, meaning confidential records can stay at home* Parents and students can complete the process together from home* You can print any form you may need from the website* You can email questions for support at any time, day or night* Technology allows access to financial aid funds for you to pay your bill more quickly* You and the financial aid administrator can track the progress and resolve problems fasterThe Medical University of LUBLIN's VFAO is the single location that ALL students will receive their estimated financial aid awards, will review the information regarding their financial aid awards and also where students will complete their certification and entrance interview requirements.

The VFAO communicates directly to the Direct Loan system, accesses your SAR data, and provides the completed award letter information to the University Dean's office and to you within days. The VFAO process takes the guess work away from the financial aid process.

Application Process for DIRECT SUBSIDIZED & DIRECT UNSUBSIDIZED Loan: IMPORTANT - You need to repeat this process each academic year!!!

 

  1. Complete online FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Enter the correct school code which is G33333.

Within 3 days from the date of submitting Fafsa it should be processed by the DOE and your Student Aid Report should be ready.

  1. Confirm with the University Financial Aid Office that the school has received your Student Aid Report. You should know that it is your responsibility to track the progress of your loans.
  2. Confirm with the University Financial Aid Office that the FAFSA is completed correctly.
  3. Complete Entrance Counseling which is available online at https://studentloans.gov/.
  4. Complete Direct Master Promissory Note which is available online at https://studentloans.gov/.
  5. There is also an option to complete a paper Direct MPN. To do so, call the Department of Education's Applicant's Services staff at 800/577-7394 and return the completed MPN at the address given in the instructions that will be providedto you. You will be notified of your completion.
ALTERNATIVE Loans:

The students of the Medical University of Lublin can apply for the following alternative loans:

- Graduate Plus loan at https://studentloans.gov/

- Smart Option Student Loanat http://www.opennet.salliemae.com/

Additional Important information for the students:
  1. Student must have at least half time status and be in good standing with the University to be eligible for a loan.
  2. Student must check if the University Registrar's Office and Financial Aid Office has a clear copy of their US Passport or Permanent Residence Card as well as Driver's License and Social Security card on file.
  3. The total amount of student loans borrowed for an academic year cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance, which is published by the University for each academic year.
  4. All students are responsible for completing all necessary deferments and forbearances. Documents must be obtained by the student from their previous loan institutions and submitted to the Dean's Office for confirming the student status.
  5. If a student is in default on any previous school loans this will hold the loan process until the student clears up their previous loans status.
  6. It is the responsibility of the students to inform the Dean's Office about any changes in the contact data. All information will be sent to the email address on file.
