Lublin
is the biggest city on the right bank of the Vistula River which is the main Polish river.
It is the biggest city in the Southern East part of the country.

It covers 147.5 sq. km and is populated by nearly 400,000 inhabitants. The city ranks tenth in Poland with respect to number of citizens.

Lublin is a big industrial and commercial center but it owes its present status to the centers of education. There are 10 institutions of higher education, among them the Maria Skłodowska-Curie University of Lublin, Catholic University of Lublin, Medical University of Lublin, Technical University of Lublin, Academy of Agriculture and others, with total number of students reaching almost 80,000.



It is the city that comprises a densely builtup downtown, as well as beautiful green vast areas of parks, gardens, meadows and forests.
